Helios Knot Sculpture

Rooms full of straight lines need one thing that curves. That's the job the Helios does, and it's why we keep coming back to it on projects.

It's a single loop of rough cast aluminium, finished in aged gold over bronze, on a solid black wood base. The casting is deliberately raw: textured and pitted, so you can tell it was actually made rather than just produced. That surface is what stops it looking like every polished gold ornament on the high street, and it's the reason it photographs differently from every angle.

At 34cm tall it holds its own on a console or an open shelf without needing anything around it. Pair it with matte black and pale stone and it warms them up and gives them contrast; put it against timber and it melts into the palette.
