Apollo Sculpture
Most sculptures at this price are an upright object you put on a shelf and forget. The Apollo is horizontal, and that's the whole point. The outstretched arms span 45cm, which means it fills a surface the way a row of smaller objects never quite manages. One piece does the work of three.
It's been used to stage our Dakota project. It reads best on a long, low surface: a sideboard, a media unit, a console, anywhere with empty width that needs anchoring without adding height. The bronze finish is warm rather than yellow, so it sits comfortably with timber, plaster tones and darker walls alike.
A note on the form: it's a nude figure, head bowed, arms extended. Considered, not showy. If a room has gone flat, this is the kind of piece that gives it a spine.
