Ares Side Table Antique Brass With Green Onyx

Onyx is a completely different material compared to marble. It's almost translucent. Not in an obvious way, but there's a depth to it. A soft, honeyed quality that shifts depending on the light in the room and where you're standing. This particular stone moves through cream, warm ivory and the faintest suggestion of green, with bands that flow across the surface in a way that feels like liquid. It's one of those materials that you find yourself looking at for longer than you expected to.

The base is antique brass, with a gently aged, slightly hammered finish that feels completely at home next to the stone. Both materials are pulling in the same warm direction, but neither one overwhelms the other. The overall effect is rich without being heavy, considered without being fussy.

Of all the Ares colourways, this is our favourite, and we specified every single one of these, so that's not something we say lightly.

It's the one we'd reach for in a room that needs warmth more than it needs drama. It draws the eye without demanding it. If you want to layer it, the proportions are identical across every version of the Ares, so sitting this alongside the bronze or aged silver reads as intentional rather than accidental.

This is the colourway we put in the collection because we couldn't find anything quite like it anywhere else. That's usually the reason something ends up here.

As a natural material, onyx is porous and can be susceptible to staining. We recommend wiping spills promptly to keep it looking its best. As with all natural stone, each top is unique; colouration and veining may vary slightly from the images shown.
