Ares Side Table Aged Silver With Grey Emperador Marble
Grey Emperador is the stone we reach for on the Ares side table when a room needs grounding rather than a focal point.
The surface moves between pale ash and deeper charcoal, with fine warmer veining threading through it quietly. It has a slate-toned depth that photographs as almost simple, but in person a lot is going on. Every top is its own, and with this stone particularly, the variation between pieces is beautiful, and because it's a solid natural marble rather than a printed surface, it holds that depth for years rather than fading flat with use.
The aged silver base has a slightly textured, lived-in quality that suits it perfectly. This isn't a polished, high-contrast pairing; it's considered and calm. We used this exact finish in a north-facing project where a warmer stone would have fought the light rather than worked with it, and it settled the room instead of adding another decision to it.
If you want to layer it, the proportions are identical across every version of the Ares, so mixing this with the bronze or aged gold reads as deliberate rather than mismatched. They balance each other well.
This is the one for rooms where you want everything to feel quietly right.
As a natural material, marble is porous and can be susceptible to staining. We recommend wiping spills promptly to keep it looking its best. As with all natural stone, each top is unique; colouration and veining may vary slightly from the images shown.
